Civil Engineer
Hitch division of OHM, a multi-disciplined architectural and engineering firm located in Houghton, Michigan, is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a key civil engineering position due to expansion and growth.

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering and at least seven years of relevant experience with a minimum of five years of successful management experience. Experience should include various aspects of civil engineering, including site development and municipal infrastructure design. Registration as a professional engineer in Michigan is also required.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the management of projects and people. Must have technical competencies, leadership abilities, organizational skills, strong communication abilities and be self-motivated. A broad range of technical experience is desired including experience in the areas of grant writing, water main, sanitary sewer and storm water system design, site design, structure design, surveying and geotechnical/material testing. The candidate should also demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain good client relations, perform marketing of firm’s services, and prepare proposals for projects. Familiarity with communities and projects in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is a plus.
